THE HELMET OF SALVATION
A helmet is placed on the head. Why is the head so special? Because with it we can think. That’s also where we have our eyes, ears and mouth.
Make sure what you think, say and listen to, would make Jesus happy. Put on the mind of Christ. Say no to any bad thoughts.
THE SHIELD OF FAITH
Another word for FAITH is TRUST.
The Bible says that God likes it when we trust Him.
Trusting God with all your heart, will make you strong and courageous. It’s as if God was telling you: “Trust me. I am protecting YOU.”
THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
A breastplate is like a shirt made out of metal to protect your most important organ: your heart. Be a good kid. Do the RIGHT thing and become an adult with a good heart.
Because Jesus who loves you is always with you.
THE BELT OF TRUTH
Jesus is the way, the TRUTH and the life.
Read the children’s Bible to learn about cool real stories and to know more about Jesus. Why not learn one or two Bible verses by heart? For example:
Psalm 118:6 “ The Lord is with me. I will not be afraid. ”
Philippians 4:13 “ I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. ”
THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
Just like nice words can make you happy and mean words can make you sad; the Bible teaches that God’s words (the words from the Bible) are like a super weapon. In this case: a sword.
Reading your Bible can make you smarter, stronger and more confident.
THE SHOES OF PEACE
Jesus said in the Bible:
Peace I leave you, peace I give you.
Live a life of peace. A life that would make Jesus and your parents smile.
